Commercial Refrigeration Technician – Supermarket Specialist

Sydney, NSW | Full-Time | Immediate Start

About the Role

Join a leading refrigeration contractor servicing Sydney's major supermarket chains. We're seeking an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technician with proven expertise in supermarket refrigeration systems (rack systems, CO₂, HFC, display cases, cold rooms, and HVAC-R integration).

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain supermarket refrigeration plants (Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, IGA)

  • Fault-find and repair complex rack systems (Bitzer, Danfoss, Copeland)

  • Perform leak detection, brazing, and pressure testing to AS/NZS 1677

  • Retrofit R404A/R134a systems to low-GWP refrigerants (CO₂ transcritical, R448A/R449A)

  • 24/7 on-call roster (1 in 5 weeks, premium rates + vehicle)

  • Complete ArcTick-compliant documentation and safety reports

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

  • Full Australian Refrigerant Handling Licence (ArcTick)

  • 3+ years' experience

  • CO₂ system experience (advantageous)

  • Current NSW Driver's Licence

  • White Card & Working at Heights
