As a Discharge Officer you support Loan Servicing & Transactions and are crucial in accurately and promptly processing loan payouts, facility closures, and security discharges. This involves preparing precise payout figures, completing discharge documentation, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures. You will liaise directly with customers, advising them on balances and processing their instructions for closure or future redraw. You will bring your meticulous attention to detail, efficiency, adhering to SLAs. Your work directly impacts customer experience and contributes to the bank's smooth operational efficiency. We're seeking a detail-oriented individuals committed to accuracy and excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and calculate accurate loan payout figures, meeting settlement dates and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Prepare and complete all discharge documentation and requests, ensuring adherence to bank policies and procedures.
- Effectively and efficiently process requests for payout figures, credit facility closures, and security discharges.
- Liaise directly with customers to advise on facility balances and process instructions for facility closure or future redraws.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all discharge-related functions, from file preparation to final settlement.
- Maintain compliance with bank policies and procedures throughout the entire discharge process.
To succeed in this role, we'd love you to have:
- Experience in banking, finance, or related industries at any level is preferred but not essential — we value skills, attitude, and potential above all.
- Sound communication and relationship-building skills.
- A willingness to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Proven customer service experience.
- A sound understanding of mortgage discharge requirements (preferred).
- Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (preferred).
- Knowledge of banking platforms such as RFSA, PSP, PEXA, BPM, and LendFast, or similar systems (preferred but not essential).
We offer flexible work options with a hybrid model of minimum 60% on site attendance (3 days per week) based at any of our Head Office Locations (with a preference of Bendigo or Adelaide).
We have two Full-time 12 month positions and one Part Time 12 month (3 days) position available (you will be paid an annual salary and received paid leave plus employee benefits).
