The Role

We are seeking a Technical Assistant to support the CTO. This is a unique hybrid role combining technical analysis, IP strategy, and executive support. You'll be a trusted technical and strategic partner, working side-by-side with the CTO on the most critical priorities — from patent filings and investor decks to scaling models and competitor assessments. Over time, this role can evolve into leading strategic initiatives or managing special projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic IP & Documentation: Draft and coordinate patent applications and technical briefs.
  • Technical Analysis: Develop cost, performance, and scaling models to support strategic decisions.
  • Executive Communication: Prepare presentations, memos, and technical decks for internal and external audiences.
  • Project & Priority Management: Extend the CTO focus by tracking key deliverables, organizing priorities, and ensuring follow-through across functions.
  • Cross-functional Connector: Liaise with business dev, operations, and technical teams to align projects and priorities.

About You

  • Degree in a technical background (Engineering, Physics, Microfabrication)
  • Curious thinker with capacity to learn new technical fields quickly.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent communicator, able to translate complex ideas into clear documents and presentations.
  • Strong modelling and analytical skills (Excel, Python).
  • Ambitious, adaptable, and eager to grow into broader responsibility.
