Position Purpose
The Payroll Officer is responsible for ensuring that the College payroll is processed in an efficient, accurate and timely manner. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial integrity of the payroll function. The Payroll Officer works as part of a collaborative team.

To be considered for this role, you must have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications, combined with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing
Sound understanding of payroll systems and processes and related tax issues
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of payroll processing and reporting, the ability to meet deadlines and work flexibly to respond to urgent requests.
Have demonstrated organisational and time management skills together with resourcefulness and initiative to manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders and manage sensitive payroll and financial information with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with the use of financial software. Knowledge of TASS would be advantageous but not essential.
