About the Role

We are seeking a driven and well-connected Business Development Manager (BDM) to join Savvy. This role will focus on driving asset finance acquisition across key industries including civil, construction, manufacturing, transport, mining, earthmoving, heavy haulage, and agriculture.

As a BDM, you will be responsible for building strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers such as procurement officers, CFOs, CEOs, business owners & referral partners. You will leverage your existing network within these sectors to identify opportunities and connect clients with tailored asset finance solutions.

You will be supported by a team of experienced commercial brokers who will ensure your clients receive the right finance to help them grow and scale their businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and acquire new business opportunities within the nominated industries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business needs and aligning them with suitable finance solutions.
  • Collaborate with the commercial broker team to ensure smooth placement and settlement of finance transactions.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies to expand Savvy's market share in asset finance.
  • Represent Savvy at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

About You

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or relationship management within a related industry (civil, construction, manufacturing, transport, mining, earthmoving, heavy haulage, agriculture).
  • Established network of industry relationships with procurement officers, CFOs, CEOs, and business owners.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a consultative sales approach.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
