The Grinders Supply Chain Team is based in our Roastery in Fairfield, Victoria. Supply Chain compromises an array of function under its banner and the reach extends from procurement of both green beans & finished products to customer deliveries.
About your new role…
We have a wonderful opportunity to join our Grinders Supply Chain team who is based in our Roastery in Fairfield, Victoria, in this exciting role of Quality Environment Safety & Health Manager.
What will you be doing?
Leadership & Culture
Role models leadership behaviours internally and externally and coaches others to do the same
Track performance to KPI objectives and financial targets
Provide immediate feedback to employees to help them improve and develop
Quality Management
Develop, implement, and maintain work instructions and associated documentation for quality assurance and food safety activities.
Continually monitor Quality system compliance, identifying areas of opportunities for improvement and ensuring those improvements are implemented.
Support the business strategies and plans through the implementation of Grinders Coffee Management System and sound QA principles.
Facilitate continuous improvement and the implementation of a systematic approach to our processes in Quality and Environment.
Ensure that ISO certifications for Quality, Food Safety, and Environment are maintained.
Food Safety Management
Develop, implement, and maintain programs, procedures, and associated documentation for food safety activities.
Continually monitor Food Safety system compliance, identifying areas of opportunities for improvement and ensuring those improvements are implemented.
Ensure relevant compliance systems and standards are maintained.
Ensure integration to the overall Integrated Management System.
Lead the Food Safety audit and certification process.
Design and conduct Food Safety training as defined in the Food Safety program for all levels of the organisation as required.
Environmental Management
Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management programs and procedures.
Monitor environmental compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure integration of environmental management into the overall Integrated Management System.
Lead environmental audits and certification processes.
Promote sustainable practices and initiatives within the organisation.
Safety and Health Management
Develop, implement, and maintain occupational health and safety programs and procedures.
Monitor safety compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure integration of safety and health management into the overall Integrated Management System.
Lead safety audits and certification processes.
Conduct safety training and promote a culture of safety within the organisation.
Training
Provide support and technical expertise to all functional areas of operations including audit, document control, food safety program, environmental management, GMP, management review, and corrective actions.
Undertake training needs analysis and implement a training plan within the workgroup.
Identify and document quality competencies for the workgroup.
Ensure quality induction is completed for new staff.
Provide information about quality procedures and guidelines within the workgroup (including the quality policy).
Corrective Actions
Fulfill the subject matter expert role in problem-solving sessions relating to quality, environmental, safety, and health issues.
Analyse quality information in support of operational teams.
Investigate, report, and implement corrective actions for consumer and customer complaints.
Let's talk about you
- Previous experience in a similar role within FMCG/Food.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team.
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science/Technology, Science or related field
- Certified Food Safety Qualifications, such as ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, FSANZ standards, Rainforest Alliance, ACO, Halal, Kosher
- Strong technical skills in Quality Assurance
- Experience using SAP ECC desirable
