As Culture, Engagement & Internal Communications Advisor, you'll bring people and strategy together - helping employees understand, believe in and live the Bank's purpose and values.
Reporting to the Head of Learning and Capability, this newly created role will design and deliver engagement, culture and communication initiatives that build connection, trust and alignment. You'll work across all levels of the organisation to craft messages that inform and inspire, ensuring staff feel valued, included and part of the journey.
In your first months, you will:
- Develop and deliver internal communication strategies that build transparency and engagement
- Design and implement initiatives that strengthen culture and employee experience
- Collaborate with leaders to embed values, purpose and strategic messaging in everyday communication
- Coordinate employee engagement surveys and translate results into actionable insights
- Manage internal channels and create compelling content that brings people and achievements to life
- Support events, campaigns and initiatives that celebrate connection and community
This is an ideal opportunity for a communications and culture professional who thrives in fast-paced, people-focused environments and enjoys seeing their work directly shape culture.
Skills We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in internal communications, employee engagement or HR advisory roles
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills with creative flair
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, accessible messages
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach and strong relationship-building skills
- Experience using communication platforms or intranets to reach diverse audiences
- Commercial acumen and adaptability to a dynamic, private-sector environment
- Strong capability, resilience and agility to work autonomously and collaboratively within a small, high-performing team
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint due to high reporting and presentation requirements
Working at Hume Bank
Hume Bank is building a culture that values openness, curiosity and accountability. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to influence how communication drives engagement and belonging.
You'll work closely with the Head of Learning and Capability and the leadership team to deliver strategies that shape a strong, connected employee experience. Your voice will matter and the stories you tell will help translate strategy into shared purpose.
This role is perfect for someone who loves variety, creativity and connection and who wants to see their work have real impact in a purpose-led, community-minded organisation.
