For more than 30 years, Junction Support Services has been working with individuals and families across north-east Victoria and beyond. We deliver over 60 programs across youth homelessness, family services, counselling, community wellbeing, and social enterprise.
Our Corporate Services team plays a vital role in enabling this work — ensuring our organisation operates with efficiency, integrity, and innovation.
About the RoleThe People & Culture Advisor is a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the employee experience across the full employee lifecycle. You'll be hands-on across recruitment, onboarding, retention, wellbeing, training and development, and employee relations — helping shape a workplace where people thrive.
A key focus of this role will be supporting the implementation and utilisation of a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS), enabling smarter, more efficient and impactful HR processes.
You'll be part of our Corporate Services team, working collaboratively to build a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture aligned with our mission to strengthen communities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and professional advice and support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
- Lead and support recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring alignment with organisational values and workforce needs.
- Coordinate and contribute to induction, training, and development initiatives.
- Support employee wellbeing and engagement strategies.
- Assist in managing employee relations matters, including performance management and conflict resolution.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation.
- Play a key role in the implementation and ongoing utilisation of the HRIS, including data integrity, reporting, and user support.
- Collaborate with Payroll, Rostering, and other Corporate Services functions to ensure seamless HR operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and practices.
- Support compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and organisational policies.
- Relevant Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Generalist HR Experience: Demonstrated experience in a broad HR role, ideally within a values-driven or community-focused organisation.
- HR Knowledge & Systems: Strong understanding of HR practices across the employee lifecycle, with experience using HRIS platforms to support operations.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively across diverse teams.
- Legislative & Compliance Knowledge: Sound understanding of employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks, and organisational compliance requirements.
