Position Purpose

To drive the successful delivery of Melbourne Fringe's year-round cultural enterprise, Fringe Common Rooms, as well as the food and beverage offer for the Melbourne Fringe Festival and other Festival partners.

Role Summary

The Venue Manager will lead the Fringe Common Rooms team to ensure a commercially viable venue utilisation program encompassing commercial, community and cultural events. You lead a team that drives profitability and delivers exceptional service to venue hirers, artists, stakeholders and audiences at Trades Hall.

You are the person who ensures the ambitious commercial initiatives of Melbourne Fringe's year-round venue activity are enabled with entrepreneurial flair and with a commitment to the organisation's core values. Your responsibilities include the management and operations of bar functions in Common Rooms and foyer bars in Trades Hall for the Melbourne Fringe Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and other pop-up bar events at Trades Hall and off-site.
