An exciting opportunity has become available for an energetic and motivated individual for the role of Warehouse General Hand. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse General Hand will be involved in picking and packing orders, warehouse operations and ensuring a high level of stock accuracy in the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

As a Warehouse General Hand, your key responsibilities will include

  • Receive, unpack and check incoming deliveries
  • Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch
  • Safely load and unload goods from trucks
  • Operate forklift responsibly, following instructions and safety protocols
  • Report any forklift maintenance needs or equipment issues to the Warehouse Manager
  • Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and well-organised
  • Assist with regular stocktakes and basic inventory tasks
  • Follow all WHS procedures and general warehouse guidelines
  • Support the warehouse team with general duties as needed

Hours: Mon–Thurs: 7:00am–3:30pm | Fri: 7:00am–1:00pm

Skills Required

We are looking for someone who can work in a small team or independently, is organised and takes ownership of their work. The role will involve common warehousing responsibilities such as managing the orders process from end to end, forecasting, stocktake etc. Some customer service will be required as well. Although most of our orders are arranged via our sales team and delivery, we do receive walk-in customers wanting on-the-spot orders from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Forklift licence (essential)
  • Proven general store experience and ability to work independently, high accuracy, and ability to prioritise workload with good time management.
  • Fit and capable of manual handling of bulky items
  • Good personal presentation and English communication skills
  • Computer literacy is an advantage
