Family Office – Senior Manager / Director (Sydney)

We're expanding our presence in Sydney and are looking for an experienced family office professional with
deep, long-standing relationships across the Sydney market.
The Opportunity
Play a key role in shaping the financial futures of high-net-worth families across multiple generations. You'll integrate our Family Office services, Family Strategy, Intergenerational Planning, Governance and Education, into tailored solutions for each family. With a focus on business development, client relationships and holistic advice, this role offers career progression while contributing to the growth and success of our clients and the firm.
What You'll Do
- Lead the integration of family strategy, intergenerational planning, governance and education to deliver comprehensive and holistic solutions for clients.
- Drive targeted business development in the Sydney market, build a high-quality pipeline aligned to Mutual Trust's Family Office services.
- Apply your accounting and tax knowledge to support clients in achieving their long-term financial and non-financial goals.
- Manage client relationships by providing proactive and tailored Family Office services, ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Collaborate with internal and external advisors to build integrated, multi-disciplinary teams that meet the unique needs of each family.
- Continuously enhance the client experience, fostering long-term partnerships.
About You
You bring 7+ years' experience in a family office environment with a strong track record of achieving successful outcomes for clients. You:
- Are a
Sydney market insider
who has built and maintained strong Sydney networks (UHNW families, private client advisers, lawyers, accountants, MFO/SFO peers) and know how to activate them. - Can design and implement governance frameworks and family charters.
- Hold a tertiary degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Legal or Financial Planning, with a post-graduate qualification from a relevant accounting industry body (e.g. CA or CPA designation).
- Possess strong analytical capabilities and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills and are highly service-oriented.
- Have a high emotional intelligence (EQ), enabling you to build trust and rapport with clients while navigating complex family dynamics.
- Thrive in a client-focused environment, managing multiple portfolios and providing integrated, multidisciplinary advice.
