Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the `Courts Group'.

VCAT
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.
About the Role
This role is a multi-functional role, responsible for delivering front line services to VCAT users, parties in cases and external service providers, providing high quality administrative support through end-to-end processing of applications.
You will at times work independently or as part of a small, dedicated team, providing customer service to VCAT Members in preparation for and during hearings. The role will primarily be onsite at the VCAT Bundoor Community Based Venue, however travel to any VCAT location, including regional venues and/or CBD locations may be required.
You will be responsible for:
- assisting Tribunal users with counter service enquiries, making referrals, recording file notes in case management systems and updating service data statistic documents
- facilitating dispute resolution between parties in line with early resolution operating model
- managing hearings; whether in person, virtual or hybrid, including directing parties, opening hearings, supporting Members, recording sessions, monitoring the inbox and coordinating interpreter or security support
- maintaining stakeholder relationships
- exercise delegated fuctions subject to the direction of the Principal Registrar
This is a full-time, onsite based role.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and flexible individual who can actively contribute to a collaborative and cohesive team environment. You will have well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and have a strong passion for quality service delivery.
You will be enthusiastic and driven to further your learning and be willing to undertake first aid officer training as part of your role.
