RSL Queensland (RSLQ) is a dynamic, not-for-profit organisation delivering innovative programs and initiatives that support veterans and their families.  

Our Lotteries department is the proud custodian of the Dream Home Art Union lottery, offering Australians the chance to win multimillion-dollar properties and prizes. The department is taking bold steps to increase revenue through diverse teams harnessing technology and data to reshape customer experiences and develop innovative lottery products.

The Senior Manager Commercial Performance drives strategic, data-driven insights to influence commercial strategy and optimise financial and operational performance in a commercially focused, not-for-profit environment. 

Reporting to the Head of Lotteries Commercial Operations, key responsibilities of the position include (though are not limited to): 

  • leading the identification, prioritisation, and execution of opportunities to drive commercial performance improvement as you guide and lead the Commercial Performance team
  • partnering and collaborating across the enterprise to deliver initiatives that generate tangible commercial value and improve efficiencies across the lottery
  • supporting your leader to drive achievement of financial management targets
  • full ownership of the budget and forecast delivery and partnering across teams to prepare financial models, forecasts and budgets that assess profitability and support commercial arrangements

About you:  

  • Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g., business, finance, commercial management)
  • 8+ years' experience in a senior commercial role
  • Strong commercial experience in contract and performance management
  • Demonstrated capability in managing financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and cost control processes
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to unlock and deliver performance opportunities.

Professional experience acquired within infrastructure, gaming or not-for-profit sectors will make your application even more competitive.
