Acting as the critical interface between internal stakeholders and the external Supply Base Operator, you'll champion frontline safety, operational efficiency, and commercial innovation to support ongoing production and field operations.
You'll play a pivotal role in driving the company's safety and performance culture, ensuring materials, inventory, and support services are delivered "first time right."
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Goal Zero safety performance and ensure HSSE and operational process compliance through self-assurance and contractor assurance activities.
- Provide leadership and oversight across the Supply Base, ensuring third-party contractor performance is commercially robust, safe, and efficient.
- Deliver a competitive and compliant supply base — optimising value, cost, and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards.
- Lead operational planning and budget management, including annual submissions, latest estimates, and contract alignment.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships through effective service level management, reporting, and accurate inventory control.
- Develop logistics and supply chain capability across teams, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
- 15–20 years' experience in safety and operational leadership within warehousing, logistics, or supply base operations.
- Strong frontline safety management background, with a proven ability to lead by example and influence a strong HSSE culture.
- Broad industry experience — not limited to Oil & Gas; candidates from resources, mining, or industrial sectors are highly regarded.
- Proven ability to deliver through contractors, with extensive contract management experience.
- Demonstrated success in Supply Base or Supply Chain operations, managing multi-stakeholder environments and complex logistics interfaces.
- Proven commercial acumen, stakeholder management and the ability to balance enterprise priorities with site-level operational demands.
- Proficiency in SAP RtP and Maximo WMS, with deep knowledge of materials management and warehouse processes.
- A mindset for continuous improvement — simplifying processes, driving cost efficiency, and empowering teams to perform at their best.
- Willingness to travel weekly to Chinchilla; while the role is based in Chinchilla, it is open to candidates residing in Brisbane.
