Supply Chain Business Lead

Supply Chain Business Lead
· Multinational Organisation
· Strategic Customer Engagement
· Brisbane-based
· Hybrid Working
This is a rare opportunity to take the lead in shaping a new service offering for a respected multinational organisation supporting Australia's energy sector. With strong, long-standing customer relationships and a reputation for reliability, the business is now evolving from a product-focused supplier into an integrated supply chain partner.
You'll be part of a high-trust, entrepreneurial leadership environment, working directly with the Chief Commercial Officer to develop and deliver tailored supply chain solutions that bring real value to major upstream oil and gas operators. This includes a strategic focus on managing inventory, warehousing, and distribution in ways that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and unlock operational resilience.
The Role
As the Supply Chain Business Lead, your mission is to develop data-driven, value-led proposals that solve real customer problems—backed by commercial insight and operational credibility. You'll build strong relationships with senior supply chain stakeholders, lead internal analysis, and design models that demonstrate both customer value and business potential.
This is not a traditional account management role—it's a strategic, hands-on position for someone who enjoys designing solutions, shaping commercial offerings, and guiding customers through a collaborative change journey. Success in this role will draw on your ability to influence and negotiate across multiple levels, simplify complex and new concepts for customers, and work with resilience through ambiguity and competing priorities.
What You Bring
· Extensive senior experience in supply chain, operations, or commercial roles—ideally across industrial or high-efficiency environments.
· Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels.
· Excellent communication skills—able to simplify complex concepts and present them persuasively to customers.
· A balanced approach to decision making, combining data-driven analysis with sound commercial judgement.
· High resilience and proven capability to navigate complexity and ambiguity while driving outcomes.
· A relevant degree is preferred (supply chain, logistics, engineering, commerce or similar). Postgraduate study such as an MBA or Lean Six Sigma would be advantageous but not essential.
Why Join
· Play a key role in shaping a new chapter for a respected multinational organisation.
· Work alongside a collaborative, forward-thinking leadership team.
· Engage directly with major energy operators and influence high-impact decisions.
· Brisbane city-based office with up to 1 day WFH.
