The W.A. Sporting Car Club Inc (WASCC) is the oldest motorsport club in Australia. It is an incorporated association of some 1,500 members and conducts a comprehensive suite of motorsport events at its premier facility, Wanneroo Raceway in Neerabup. WASCC also hosts several high-profile events including the Perth Round of Supercars.

WASCC people are innovative, open-minded, and team oriented. Our team members are humble and hardworking, challenge our thinking and have a will to improve the organisation. They combine genuine understanding of the importance of our local activities with a universal approach.

Due to an internal advancement, we are seeking a Part-Time Receptionist for 3 days per week.

Receptionist responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Greeting visitors and addressing queries.
  • Basic knowledge of Xero Accounting Software.
  • Handling basic office duties, such as answering and routing phones, responding to emails, data entry, and reporting.
  • Answering questions and finding information for employees, vendors and customers.
  • Ensuring the office is well-maintained, organised and secure.
  • Assisting with special projects, such as process improvements and budget development.
  • Organise company documents into updated filing systems.
  • Assist with the WASCC Membership renewal process, including Member benefits to deliver a 'Priority Renewal Period' annually.
  • Assist with overseeing the renewal and management of member garages.
  • Other tasks in line with the position as required.

Administrative Skills and experience

  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications in word processing, spreadsheets, email and databases.
  • Ability to use initiative to anticipate work requirements and take action with minimal supervision.
  • Effective Time Management skills.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills utilising effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motorsport enthusiasm is highly regarded.
