About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our truck service and repair team. You will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of heavy vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
  • Conduct safety checks and roadworthy inspections in line with Australian standards.
  • Identify mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and test drives.
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete job cards and reports.
  • Order and install replacement parts, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Follow workplace health and safety (WHS) protocols and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification).
  • Proven experience servicing and repairing heavy trucks and diesel engines.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to use modern diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Manual driver's licence; HR or HC licence desirable.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
