About the Role

As a Diesel Motor Mechanic, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This includes profilers, loaders, excavators, rock crushers, trucks, and a fleet of around 50 diesel-powered vehicles.


Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
  • Carry out repairs to engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems.
  • Complete accurate work orders and maintenance records.
  • Keep your workspace clean, organised, and communicate clearly with supervisors.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and interpreting technical diagrams.
  • A current driver's licence (essential).
  • Previous experience working with construction machinery (desirable).
