We have an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our skilled boutique team. Currently based in Osborne Park, we have an amazing new office and workshop under construction in O'Connor that will see us relocate mid-2026. You will be tasked with maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a diverse range of civil construction plant and equipment.

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of Plant and Equipment owned by Densford Civil.
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a variety of heavy-duty and light vehicles and trucks
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying potential problems
  • Maintaining detailed records of all work performed
  • Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient and effective operations

Essential:

  • Mechanical trade qualification
  • At least 5 years post grad experience working for a civil construction company
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Be competent in performing mechanical diagnosis, repairs, and service of equipment in both the workshop and on site
  • Ability to read and interpret plant and maintenance manuals and schematics
  • Pass all medicals
  • Current Australian Driver's License
  • Commitment to health and safety standard
  • Permanent work rights in Australia

Desired:

  • Valid Heavy Rigid Driver's License
  • Experience working in a construction/earthworks/hire company will be well regarded
  • Experience working on brands including Case, Volvo, John Deere, Bergman, CAT, Hydrema, and JCB
