Our client is a significant metal processing business with multiple sites in NSW and Victoria.  They have an immediate need for an experienced HV Diesel Mechanic / Leading Hand / Supervisor to support its operating Plant and Fleet (modern trucks and trailers).

Based in Melbourne's West, you will be a Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. Significant investment has taken place and there is a commitment to adopting a planned and managed approach to maintenance.

You will be a key part of the Maintenance Team with leading and direct hands-on involvement of both the maintenance of the Transport Fleet and Plant.

Experience with Transport, Mining, Quarries or Waste Yard operations would be well regarded.  Critical is a strong focus on safety and safe working practices. The successful candidate will also:

  • Be a great problem solver
  • Have strong organisation and planning skills
  • Be able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Be a strong communicator with good relationship skills,
  • Understand good maintenance planning and programming, and
  • Be wanting a role that gives you accountability and enables you to take pride in your work and improve business operations.

This job is available now. It is permanent Monday to Friday (with opportunity for regular additional hours), and comes with a very competitive hourly rate, full benefits and career potential.  You will be well supported with training and be part of a great team.
