Social Media Marketing Manager

ICON Agency is a full-service communications and creative agency with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, and Canberra. We deliver purpose-driven campaigns that connect brands with audiences through strategy, creativity, and technology.

We're looking for an experienced and driven Social Media Marketing Manager to join our Communications team. This role is pivotal to delivering integrated digital and social campaigns for a range of clients across corporate, government, and not-for-profit sectors.

This is a full time, permanent role located in our Melbourne office. The salary is $80,000 - $95,000k + Super depending on experience.

About the Role

You will manage and execute social media strategies across multiple platforms. You'll collaborate closely with creative, digital, and communications teams to deliver campaigns that achieve client objectives and reflect ICON's high standards of quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with client goals
• Plan, create, and manage content calendars including ideation, copywriting, and scheduling
• Launch and manage paid campaigns on Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other platforms
• Conduct social listening, analytics, and reporting to inform strategy and optimise performance
• Manage influencer partnerships and content collaborations
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring timely communication and delivery
• Support junior team members with training and campaign execution
• Contribute to new business pitches and internal initiatives

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in social media or digital marketing within an agency environment
• Proven experience managing social media advertising and reporting
• Strong copywriting skills and understanding of platform-specific best practices
• Excellent client management and project coordination abilities
• Experience with tools such as Sprout Social, Brandwatch, or Sprinklr
• Knowledge of influencer marketing and content production processesAnalytical mindset and ability to translate insights into actionable recommendationsTertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
