Job Summary:
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating, curating, and managing high-quality content across all social media platforms. You will play a critical role in communicating the college's values, programs, events, and achievements to both local and international audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a social media strategy to increase brand awareness, student engagement, and enrollment.
- Manage day-to-day posting and content scheduling across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X (Twitter).
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to highlight student success stories, events, and campus updates.
- Create engaging written, visual, and video content tailored to each platform.
- Monitor trends and insights to optimize performance and engagement.
- Analyze social media metrics and prepare regular reports on growth, engagement, and campaign performance.
- Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and content creators as needed.
- Ensure all content aligns with the college's branding, tone, and messaging.
- Stay up to date with the latest digital marketing and social media trends, especially within the education sector.
Requirements:
- Basic experience as a Social Media Manager, preferably in education or a related field.
- Excellent knowledge of major social media platforms and content trends.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Basic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing are a plus.
- Basic with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education marketing or student recruitment.
- Photography/videography skills.
- Understanding of SEO, email marketing, or Google Analytics.
