About the role

The Tree Assessment Officer's role is to assist in the implementation of sustainable tree management services and to maintain the Inner West Council's urban forest as a quality, intergenerational resource, such that the services of Council contribute to the desired community outcomes as outlined in the Community Strategic Plan.

Remuneration

$86, $104,541.32 pro rata + 12% Superannuation + Access to an Operational Motor Vehicle

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

• Relevant Aboricultural qualifications (AQF 5 Diploma Arboriculture)

• Experience in undertaking visual tree assessments, report writing and plan interpretation.

• Qualifications in an industry recognised tree risk methodology (e.g. QTRA, TRAQ, VALID)

• Experience and knowledge of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act and other planning legislation (e.g., SEPP, LEP, DCP) as it relates to tree management and protection

• Strong interpersonal communication skills
