**About the Opportunity**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Exercise Physiologist to join our Allied Health team, working with client in their own homes and in Social Support Groups.
This role provides direction and leadership in Exercise Physiology services, community health hand gym supervision and increasing gym memberships through developed and targeted programs.
You will be responsible in supporting the growth and professional developments of Exercise Physiology staff and students.
This is a Full time role and would require travel to support seniors gym team across NSW/ACT.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Lead and manage a team of Exercise Physiologists and staff in delivering health and fitness programs to maximize health, fitness and social outcomes for clients across community and gym environments.
- Ensure services and opportunities for growth or change are aligned with budgets and liaise with Service Managers regarding service developments.
- Provision of health education, advice and support to enhance health and well-being including nutritional advice in line with national nutrition guidelines and information on relevant prescribed medicines.
- Provision of clinical exercise prescription, for those with existing chronic and complex medical conditions and injuries.
- Diagnose, assess and develop care plans for individuals and groups to promote a more independent lifestyle.
- Liaising with healthcare professional, such as GPs, nurses and occupational therapist to ensure detailed and specific care plans are formulated and monitored.
**What we are looking for**

- Four or more years’ experience in your field of expertise
- Working knowledge of gym equipment
- Ability to organise and conduct health screening and functional assessments
- Computer Skills - Microsoft Office and Outlook
