About the role

We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Trainer/Assessor to join our team in New South Wales.

The primary responsibility of this role is delivering the NSW Class 1A Security Licence Course (CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations). It is highly desirable that the successful applicant is also able to deliver additional courses such as:

  • Class 1B (Bodyguard) Security Licence Course
  • Class 1C (Cash-in-Transit) Security Licence Course
  • Class 1F (Armed Guard) Security Licence Course
  • Other qualifications on Asset College's RTO scope

This role requires not only strong technical knowledge of the security industry but also the ability to maintain compliance with RTO standards, SLED Conditions of Approval, deliver structured training, and provide meaningful support to learners.

Requirements

Applicants must hold:

  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
  • Current NSW Class 2D Security Trainer licence
  • Current NSW Class 1A Security Licence (Security Officer and Crowd Controller)
  • HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
  • At least 3–5 years' experience working in the security industry (experience across multiple sectors is highly regarded)

  • Strong learner support and engagement skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team environment
  • Experience with online assessment tools and learner management systems
  • High-level computer literacy and strong written and verbal communication skills

Hours of work

  • Flexible delivery schedule, including weekdays, weekends and evenings as required
  • College closure period over Christmas/New Year
