We are a well established Age care and are looking for a Chef to join our kitchen

team and deliver consistently high quality meals using the freshest of ingredients.

The position is a full time role involving scheduled weekend work. We are offering

the suitable candidate a base salary of $ super (above award wage)

for a 38-hour week.

In this position, you will:

  • Contribute to menu development by creating recipes using local and seasonal ingredients, undertake costing and prepare budget
  • Orders and maintains inventory of food and kitchen supplies to meet daily production needs, ensuring efficient stock rotation and minimal waste.
  • Coordinates with front-of-house and care staff to ensure efficient and timely food service delivery to residents.
  • Maintains a clean, hygienic, and well-organised kitchen environment, ensuring strict compliance with workplace health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Effectively and efficiently completes all rostered and allocated shift duties to support smooth kitchen operations.
  • Cook menu items using a variety of techniques
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff

We are looking for a person with

  • Minimum 1 years' experience as a chef.
  • Relevant Qualification in Commercial Cookery
  • Have a creative mindset
  • Supervisory skills
  • Confident approach and results driven
  • Flexibility with hours and approach
  • Good communication and technology skills
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure to deliver timely and quality results.

Pay: $54,537.39 – $83,541.21 per year
