A short-term relief opportunity exists for a Senior Social Worker in the Department of Community Child Health team at Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick. This is a 0.84FTE temporary position commencing 12th January and concluding 20th April
This role will provide a culturally appropriate Social Work service to the children, young people and families that we serve in outreach and community clinics. This includes children with refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds, Aboriginal children in collaboration with the La Perouse Aboriginal Clinic team and children with developmental-behavioural issues.
The Social Worker will provide individual case management and crisis intervention support and referral support to external agencies and will use community development and advanced practice skills to provide counselling and to engage families and community.
