Company DescriptionJob Description
  • With minimal supervision and a degree of independence, initiative and judgment, undertake routine and non-routine analysis using wet chemistry and instrumentation techniques in the inorganic section.
  • Understand general laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements.
  • Ensure equipment and laboratory is kept clean to avoid contamination and protect the company's assets.
  • Carry out scheduled instrument calibration and maintenance in accordance with the written procedures.
  • Maintain and update skills, qualifications and knowledge through courses and on the job training to support improvement.
  • Ensure that safety equipment is used where necessary, used correctly and used at all times.
  • Report immediately any unsafe work condition or equipment to the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the section supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification, TAFE certificates minimum
  • Experience in a general laboratory environment preferred
  • Flexibility with working hours and tasks
