About the role
We are currently seeking a full time Laboratory Assistant, Sample Registration to join our NSW Transplantation & Immunogenetics Service team (NTIS). The Laboratory Assistant, Sample Registration position performs routine tasks and activities to support end to end sample management as directed by standard operating procedures and supervisor.
Although based in a Laboratory this is not a scientist position. In this role you will log samples in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), complete all quality requirements and work instructions related to sample receipt and registration with strict adherence to external laboratory accreditation requirements (NATA, ASHI, cGMP). You will also be directed by Medical Scientists to prepare samples for testing and liaise with external stakeholders regarding sample submissions and other queries.

Technical qualification and/or relevant experience
Experienced data entry with high level accuracy and attention to detail.
Prior experience with customer information management systems or laboratory information management systems is highly desirable.
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding and use of quality systems.
Prior experience with sample registration in pathology or medical setting desirable, but not essential.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity working onsite at our Sydney Processing Centre in Alexandria.
