About The Role
The Asset Officer plays a pivotal role in managing the assigned asset portfolio, which encompasses building and open space assets. This position is responsible for conducting data and financial analysis, risk assessments, compliance appraisals/audits, and the development of various reports. By delivering quality customer service, the Asset Officer creates significant value for the community while advancing the organisation's vision.

As part of the Facilities and Asset Management team under the Directorate of Infrastructure Services, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure effective asset management practises are upheld

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

  • Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management or Asset Management or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in the proactive management of assets (built facilities, open space or environment) through the interpretation of asset information and inspection data or previous experience in an analytical style role within a large organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in a related role working with the operation, maintenance and construction of assets including life cycle principles of asset management
  • Demonstrated experience in cost control, developing and forecasting expenditure/ savings for an asset portfolio
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build effective relationships with staff and stakeholders.

Other Important Information

  • The commencing salary for this position is up to $92.9K. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $107.7K on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
  • We have 2 permanent roles available
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
