About This Opportunity
As we enter an exciting new era with a brand new Fitness Centre and Brisbane 2032 on the horizon, enabling our leadership team and engaging our employees has never been more important.
We're on the lookout for a dynamic and adaptable individual to join UQ Sport in a newly created role that's anything but ordinary. In this diverse and hands-on position, you'll collaborate closely with our leadership team and departments across the organisation, shaping and supporting internal and external communications, driving staff engagement initiatives, and acting as the go-to coordinator who keeps everything running smoothly.
You'll also work directly with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to manage schedules and coordinate key meetings. From drafting board papers and preparing presentations to promoting social activities like staff pickleball and responding to team feedback, your work will make a real impact on our culture and operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing executive support to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, including diary and stakeholder management
- Assisting with the preparation of executive documents and presentations
- Supporting internal communication and engagement initiatives
- Coordinating staff events and culture-building activities
- Managing office operations and administrative processes as required
About You
- A degree with at least four (4) years subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Proven ability to build relationships to seek information and deliver outcomes
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- The ability to prioritise workloads, work independently and meet deadlines
- A high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and SharePoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skills in project coordination
- Highly effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of administrative systems, policies and procedures or the capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia.
