About the opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Information Management Support Officer to deliver high quality information and records management services on a term contract, full-time basis for up to 12 months.

Working in a high performing team, an ideal candidate will have a strong background in recordkeeping and information management, including experience with classification, registration and distribution of records in an Electronic Document Management System. The role requires a self-starter who is able to process high volume customer email requests and provide user support to staff. Experience with high volume email management and use of Content Manager (CM9) is highly desirable in order to quickly adapt to the role.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Certificate III in Recordkeeping and/or suitable relevant experience in records management role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NSW State Records Act 1998, associated standards and other relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated experience in the support of end users in the use of recordkeeping systems
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience using Kodak scanning applications
  • Strong attention to detail in a high-volume information management area.

Desirable:

  • High level computer literacy and ability to use a range of software products
  • Local government experience in a records management environment.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,315.70 per week
  • 35-hour working week
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
