About the role

As a Guest Service Agent at Hotel Marvell' in Byron Bay, NSW, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless stay for all our guests. This full-time role is crucial in delivering an unparalleled hospitality experience and contributing to the overall success of our hotel.

What you'll be doing

  • Welcome and register guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in process

  • Assist guests with enquiries, requests and concerns, addressing them in a timely and professional manner

  • Process payments, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of hotel facilities, services and local area knowledge to recommend activities and dining options

  • Liaise with other hotel departments to coordinate guest requirements and ensure a cohesive guest experience

  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness and presentation of the hotel lobby and public areas

  • Perform other duties as required to support the Front Office and Guest Services team

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the hospitality industry

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle guest inquiries and concerns effectively

  • Proficient in using hotel management software and computer systems (PMS)

  • A genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

  • Availability to commence within the coming week
