Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on
Head of Finance – ANZ
to join our dynamic team. This role is both
strategic and operational
—you will shape the financial direction of the business while also being deeply involved in day-to-day execution.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong background in Commercial Finance and FP&A, who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Finance:
- Lead and develop the budgeting, forecasting, and business reporting framework, ensuring consistency and accuracy of data across the business.
- Drive business analytics, partnering with commercial and support functions to deliver actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Provide in-depth analysis and actionable insights on Price, Trade Spend, Volume, Mix, and Margin; deliver robust regional analysis and reporting to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to drive informed commercial decisions.
- Coordinate and monitor the FP&A team's reporting timeliness, ensuring a streamlined month-end reporting and analysis process.
- Develop and enhance reporting capabilities to empower business and support areas with meaningful information for decision-making.
- Support the commercial team in developing business models, including account and brand profitability, ROI analysis, and scenario planning.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of commercial and financial analysis to senior stakeholders.
Financial Controlling & Governance:
- Oversee month-end closing and reporting, maintaining ownership of the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis, and fixed assets.
- Evaluate financial and operational efficiencies across all PL cost centers.
- Ensure compliance with tax, payroll, BAS, and FBT returns, and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Supervise finance staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, CIMA) highly desirable.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A/Commercial Finance, preferably in CPG/FMCG, healthcare, or related industries.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, MSD) and Excel; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on approach:
Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, with a willingness to get involved in the details as needed.
