Highlight for the role:

As Head of Finance for AUS, this role will see you partner with the senior management team and report directly to Country manager and Global CFO. You will own the full finance function and drive the integration of all business performance parameters while providing financial insights to the business. This is a key strategic role and you will be the voice of a strong bottom-line focus on the country leadership team.

What you will be doing:

The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate and deliver the timely and accurate corporate accounting and regulatory activities, also focusing on delivering key business outcomes and monitoring ongoing business performance to contribute and drives sustainable value in the business. The role will manage the finance function and deliver its finance strategy, providing and continuously improving financial plans, systems, procedures and practices.

  • Providing expert financial advice to operational management, driving financial performance through commercially sound decision making and analysis;
  • Full ownership and presentation of month end results including P&L reviews, Balance Sheet and Cash Flows;
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition;
  • Act as a strategic financial adviser to the Leadership and Senior Management Team, providing sound advice, guidance and information on organisational performance, risks and opportunities;
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances;
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting;
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

What will make you successful

  • Proven working experience as Head of Finance or CFO role with 10+ years of overall combined accounting, finance and taxation experience;
  • CPA or CA qualification is a must or equivalent overseas qualification;
  • FMCG background is a must, at least by 10 years;
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures;
  • A strong communicator who can explain complex financial concepts in simple language to a broad audience;
  • Business acumen, problem solving, approachability, peer relationships are key competencies that will help to achieve success with the role;
