The Opportunity
We're seeking a proactive, organised, people-focused HR Coordinator to join our Brisbane head office.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys:
• fast-paced recruitment
• building strong relationships
• improving HR systems
• lifting workplace culture and engagement
• being the central point of HR communication
You'll be the gatekeeper of Employment Hero, managing the full employee lifecycle and ensuring consistent HR practices across all offices.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, shortlisting, interviews, offers, and onboarding
• Maintain all HR data, contracts, and compliance documentation in Employment Hero
• Support employee engagement, morale, and staff communication
• Coordinate onboarding, inductions, and probation reviews
• Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews
• Manage quarterly pulse surveys and HR reporting
• Support managers with performance reviews and policy guidance
• Maintain training matrix and licence/qualification records
• Assist with policy updates and HR systems improvements
About You
You will thrive in this role if you have:
• 3+ years' HR coordination or recruitment experience
• Strong understanding of HR systems, Fair Work and employment compliance
• Experience with Employment Hero (or similar HRIS)
• Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence
• Strong organisation and document management capability
• A proactive, improvement-focused mindset
• Ability to build trust with employees and managers at all levels
Experience in engineering, construction, technical, or industrial environments is highly regarded.
