The Foam Company is a proudly Australian-owned and operated family business supplying high-quality, locally made open and closed-cell foam and polystyrene products across a wide range of industries. As one of Australia's leading foam distributors, we supply to the construction, packaging, signage, and creative sectors nationally.

The Role

We are expanding our Perth-based sales and customer service team and are seeking a friendly, experienced, long-term team member to help manage customer enquiries, orders, and day-to-day operations. We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and enjoys a mix of customer interaction and administrative work.

This is a full-time (Monday to Friday), office-based role located in Perth City. Full training and support is provided. The position reports directly to the Sales & Operations Managerand works closely with our national sales representative. Salary shown does not include super.

Key Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Handle phone and email enquiries, providing professional and customer-focused responses.
  • Address sales inquiries and manage relationships with wholesale and business clients.
  • Providing quotations and processing and monitoring orders.
  • Producing packing slips, delivery labels, and coordinate courier bookings.
  • Place stock orders aligned with customer demands and production.
  • Staying updated on product knowledge and conveying this information to customers.
  • Enhance team processes and assist with customer issues when they arise using proactive, effective problem-solving.
  • Adhere to existing sales and administration policies and procedures.
  • Execute other tasks as directed by the Sales & Operations Manager.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who's proactive, enjoys a mix of customer interaction and admin work, and thrives working both independently and within a team.

You will ideally have:

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, internal sales, and/or order processing.
  • A passion for customer service with excellent communication and organisational skills, with clear written and verbal English.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in measurements, costing, and quoting is required.
  • Intermediate PC skills, such as Email, Word, Excel and order management software.
  • Be calm under pressure, multitask, and work both independently and as part of a team, with a positive, customer-centric attitude.
  • A genuine team player who takes pride in their work and represents the company with professionalism.
  • Foam industry experience is a bonus, but not required - full training will be provided.
