About the Role

You will be a valued member of the Legal and Governance team, supporting exciting projects and gaining hands-on experience in contract management and legal processes.

This role is offered on a Casual basis.

Experience

This entry-level Paralegal role is designed for an ambitious law student eager to start their legal career. While some experience in a legal environment would be beneficial, it is not essential. We value adaptability, curiosity, and a proactive mindset over formal experience. As you progress through your studies, this role will evolve with you—offering opportunities to grow, contribute, and shape your future in law.

Essential

  • You're currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (bonus points if you have completed Contract Law and Property Law).
  • You thrive in a team environment and know how to work together to hit deadlines and deliver results.
  • You pick up new knowledge fast and know how to apply it on the job.
  • You understand legal professional privilege and the importance of compliance in everything you do.

Desirable

  • You've had hands-on experience as a paralegal or in contract management (or a similar role).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Strong people skills and clear, confident communication – both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, while using initiative and good judgment.
  • Capable of managing your own workload – you can plan, prioritise, and get things done with limited supervision.
  • Solid computer skills and a willingness to learn new technology quickly.

Desirable

  • An interest or understanding of medical research and the legal issues associated with it.
  • An interest or understanding of commercial law.
  • Familiarity with contract management processes – or the ability to learn them quickly.
