About the role

Daykin Family Law is seeking a dedicated and skilled Paralegal to join our dynamic team in Fortitude Valley, Queensland. As a full-time Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal professionals and contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality family law services.

What you'll be doing

  • Undertaking various admininistration tasks within the office, including welcoming clients and handling correspondences
  • Undertaking regular invoicing/billing, recording receipts and maintaining accounting records
  • Conducting regular file reviews to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Assisting with the preparation of administration documents, legal documents and documents for client files, including drafting correspondence, drafting property pools, undertaking searches and handling court filing
  • Organising and maintaining client files (including disclosure, court documents, correspondence and other), ensuring accurate record-keeping and document management
  • Providing administrative support to the legal team, such as scheduling appointments and coordinating client meetings, booking conferences with Counsel and others
  • Liaising with clients, external service providers, and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient case management
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in family law legislation and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the legal practice
  • General office duties

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 18 months of experience as a Paralegal, preferably within a family law practice
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Positive attitude and proactive approach to work
  • Client-focussed and ability to liaise with a range of key stakeholders
  • Proficiency in using legal software and technology, such as case management systems
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the practice
