About Us:

Happy 'N' Friendly Family Day Care is a warm, inclusive service committed to providing high-quality early education in a home-based setting. We are passionate about supporting a dedicated team of educators who deliver nurturing, developmentally appropriate programs for children and families.

We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Coordinator / Office Administrator to join our Coordination Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of early childhood regulations, Family Day Care operations, and be comfortable working in a tech-driven environment, as all our documents and records are managed online.

What You'll Do:

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Lead and support Family Day Care (FDC) educators to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards
  • Assist with educational programming and documentation to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Manage and maintain accurate administrative records, including enrolments and Child Care Subsidy (CCS) processes
  • Oversee daily operations in coordination with the Nominated Supervisor
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with educators, families, and other team members
  • Provide ongoing guidance and training to educators based on current frameworks and legislation
  • Use digital tools and software to manage and track compliance documents, communications, and educator records

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID012), Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management (ACECQA-approved)
  • Working with Children Check
  • Accredited Child Protection Training
  • Safe Sleep Training

Essential Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years in an administrative or coordinator role in Family Day Care (FDC) or childcare
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) & My Time, Our Place (MTOP)
  • National Law & Regulations
  • National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Family Assistance Law & Child Care Subsidy system (CCS)
  • Experience working with online documentation systems, cloud-based software, and digital tools for managing and tracking records

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act and ECA Code of Ethics
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to compliance

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of or fluency in Swahili, Dinka, Somali, or Amharic is highly regarded
  • Proficiency with various digital platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, etc.) and the ability to adapt to new software quickly
