**About the Role**
The Base Support Services Inc. (TBSSINC) is seeking a professional and experienced **NDIS Support Coordinator** to join our team with the option for an immediate start. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centered support coordination to NDIS participants, including those with complex needs. The position is hands-on and does **not involve supervision or management of other staff**.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and implement NDIS plans, supporting participants to achieve their goals and exercise choice and control.
- Assist participants in managing their plan budgets, including interpreting service categories and tracking utilisation.
- Navigate legislative reporting obligations and ensure compliance with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
- Engage with complex participants and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders including justice liaisons, cultural liaison workers, allied health, and community service providers.
- Advocate for participant rights and promote supported decision-making and the dignity of risk.
- Maintain accurate case notes, participant files, and progress reports in line with legislative and organisational standards.
- Use Brevity Care Software to record and manage participant data, case notes, and reporting efficiently and accurately.
**Essential Criteria**
- **4-5 years’ experience in NDIS Support Coordination**:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Services, Social Work, or related field (determines wage level under SCHADS Award).
- Strong understanding of the NDIS framework, participant budget management, and service coordination requirements.
- Demonstrated experience supporting participants with complex needs, including those involved with statutory bodies.
- Understanding of legislative requirements related to QCAT, the Public Guardian, and Public Trustee.
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Competent in the use of Brevity Care Software or similar client and case management systems.
- Excellent time management and the ability to work independently while maintaining service quality.
**Other Requirements**
- Current Queensland Driver’s License.
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and Disability Worker Screening - Yellow Card Exemption (or ability to obtain).
- National Police Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Copy of Qualifications
- Full working rights in Australia.
