About this opportunity

• Initial 6 month day rate contract
• Melbourne OR Sydney based candidates

The role of Technical Business Analyst will work closely with the Digital Product Owners and Technology team in delivering the outcomes to support the need of the fund and our members.

Supporting the Digital Product Owners to drive requirements/problem statements and translating those into technical user stories by liaising with Technology Architecture, Digital Technical leads and Scrum teams to provide both high level and detailed design solutions.

The role will work closely with the Scrum team on implementing solutions that meet the Product Owners requirements, hence knowledge of Agile methodologies especially Scrum and experience in it is preferable.

• As a Technical Business Analyst, you are a respected expert in your core business area and possess technical experience, along with broad skills and experience within the digital & development domains
• You solve complex problems; understand the existing features, challenges in implementation and translate requirements to be development ready
• You conduct user needs analysis, offer suggestions on process improvements within the team and participate in discussions on technical solution
• You easily elicit requirements, interact with stakeholders, and identify opportunities
• You'll need to have a high degree of attention to detail, ability to influence stakeholders across all levels, and work across multiple topic
• Knowledge of both waterfall and agile methodologies and the application of business analysis practices within these frameworks
• Demonstrated experience conducting analysis of business needs
• Superior analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills and excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including presentation skills with emphasis on developing quality outcomes
• Experience in JIRA/Confluence, Big room planning, Agile processes

Experience in a Digital and/or Financial Services IT environment.
- Understanding of superannuation context is preferable
- Proven experience working independently and/or with multidisciplinary teams including the management and mentoring of other business analysts
- Be a team player that demonstrates a proven record of success in influencing and negotiating with multiple stakeholders to manage and resolve complex issues and disputes
