Technical Business Analyst – Risk, Compliance & Financial Services
Location:

About the Role We are seeking a
Technical Business Analyst
to support solution analysis and delivery across complex technology initiatives. The role involves gathering and documenting technical requirements, supporting testing and reporting activities, and ensuring compliance with governance, risk, and regulatory standards. Banking or financial services experience will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather and validate technical requirements.
  • Document business and technical requirements with full traceability.
  • Translate requirements into user stories with testable acceptance criteria (Agile or Waterfall).
  • Support functional and non-functional testing to validate solutions.
  • Understand solution architecture to ensure alignment with business and compliance objectives.
  • Identify and escalate risks or issues that may impact delivery.
  • Maintain documentation of business processes, compliance requirements, and project outcomes.
  • Build and manage stakeholder relationships across technology, compliance, and business teams.

Core Capabilities / Skills:

  • Proven experience using Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and user story development.
  • Understanding of microservice architectures, APIs, system integrations, and modern development practices.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements for developers and testers.
  • Solid understanding of data models, SQL, and data mapping between systems.
  • Experience in risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements within technology projects.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills to lead workshops and elicit requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and collaboration across business and technology teams.
  • Experience with system migration, core banking platforms, or payment systems highly regarded.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience in
    banking or financial services
    environments.
  • Background in
    risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Lawful Intercept technologies
