The Cranbourne Community Hospital is a modern, purpose-built facility designed to deliver high-quality healthcare closer to home for the local community. It provides a wide range of services including urgent care for non-life-threatening conditions, day surgery, specialist consultations, chronic disease management, and community health programs. By reducing demand on larger hospitals, it plays a vital role in ensuring timely, accessible, and patient-focused care for Cranbourne and surrounding suburbs.

About the Role:

Join our team in this leadership role as the General Services Manager, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused general services at the new Cranbourne Community Hospital.

This is a full time position working Monday to Friday based at the new Cranbourne Community Hospital in Cranbourne. The General Services Manager ensures the safety, efficiency, and compliant operation of general services, including patient services, departmental provisioning, ward services, and infection prevention.

As part of Monash Health's Support Services leadership team, the General Services Manager reports to the Support Services Manager and manages a significant operational budget. We guarantee that no two days will be the same. The General Services Manager is responsible for:

• Providing support and leadership to the General Services team across multiple sites
• Overseeing employee performance, development, rosters, and training compliance
• Ensuring financial responsibility through effective budgeting and resource management
• Ensuring quality and compliance with safety, legislative, and accreditation standards are met and adhered to.
• Fostering a positive team culture focused on excellent patient and employee experience
• Collaborating with the clinical teams, People and Culture, Recruitment, Finance, as well as external contractors
• Working closely with departmental leads and teams to drive service excellence
• Overall department performance including leading a team and managing a budget

About You:

Our Support Services team provides a range of essential non-clinical services that help our hospitals run. We provide food services, central production kitchen, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.
