About Genesis Health Services (GHS)
At Genesis Health Services (GHS), we are passionate about delivering care that truly enhances lives. We specialize in providing tailored support for people living with disabilities under the NDIS framework. Our services go beyond daily care—we build inclusive communities, promote independence, and create joyful, empowering experiences.
About the Role
We are seeking a Day Program Coordinator who brings a unique combination of care experience and strong marketing/sales skills. In this dynamic role, you'll not only design and manage engaging day programs for participants with disabilities but also lead community outreach efforts to promote GHS services and expand our impact.
You'll be a natural connector—chatty, energetic, and enthusiastic about organizing events, building relationships, and driving visibility. Marketing and sales experience is essential, as you'll help position the Day Program as a tool for business growth, participant acquisition, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Coordination
- Design and deliver high-quality, person-centered day programs aligned with participant goals and NDIS requirements.
- Coordinate recreational, life skills, and social inclusion activities such as art workshops, cooking classes, and group outings.
- Host community-based events to drive engagement and increase brand awareness.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and professionals to deliver meaningful, customized experiences.
Sales & Marketing Leadership
- Use your marketing and sales expertise to grow program participation and elevate GHS's presence in the community.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (and external marketing professionals when needed) to promote GHS via forums, social media, and local channels.
- Build strong relationships with community groups, schools, and support networks to expand reach.
- Strategically position the Day Program as a visibility platform supporting client acquisition and retention.
Community Engagement
- Leverage existing client connections to promote new programs and referrals.
- Organize and lead community workshops and events to foster inclusion and promote services.
- Represent GHS at local expos, fairs, and events to attract prospective clients and partners.
Participant Support & Staff Leadership
- Supervise and support day program staff, fostering a caring and collaborative environment.
- Act as the key liaison for families, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Monitor participant engagement and wellbeing during activities, adapting support as needed.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation including progress notes, risk assessments, and funding records.
- Ensure all services meet NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards.
- Contribute to service improvement plans and internal/external reporting processes.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Diploma or higher in Disability Services, Community Services, Marketing, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in event planning, behavioral support, or leadership are advantageous.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in marketing, sales, or business development, ideally in healthcare, disability, or NDIS.
- Proven experience coordinating disability day programs or community-based services.
- Demonstrated success in participant/client engagement and retention initiatives.
- Familiarity with NDIS plans, funding structures, and person-centered support.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong understanding of NDIS and the disability services landscape.
- Confident public speaker and networker who thrives in social environments.
- Highly organized, creative, and proactive in planning events and campaigns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine passion for disability advocacy and inclusion.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using digital tools for marketing, scheduling, and reporting.
Additional Requirements
- Current First Aid & CPR certification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Australian Driver's License & insured vehicle.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
Why Join GHS?
- Be at the forefront of community-driven disability support.
- Blend your passion for care with your marketing and outreach skills.
- Join a supportive, innovative team that celebrates creativity and fun.
- Help shape a program that truly changes lives.
