About the Role

We are currently seeking a Receptionist / Guest Service Agent to join our front office team. This position is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys engaging with people, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and deliver professional, efficient check-in and check-out services.
  • Manage reservations, amendments, and cancellations accurately.
  • Respond to guest inquiries about room availability, rates, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Process payments, deposits, and refunds while ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Maintain up-to-date guest information in the property management system.
  • Provide local knowledge and assistance to enhance the guest experience.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
  • Monitor guest security, including key and access control.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and mail handling.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms and facilities are ready for guests.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum AQF Certificate III (or higher) in Hospitality or a related discipline.
  • At least one year of recent experience as a hotel or motel receptionist or in a similar front office role.
  • Strong computer literacy and proven experience using hotel reservation or property management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Must have current work rights in Australia.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $69,000.00 per year
