What do I need?
We're seeking a highly capable PMO Manager to support a major transformation initiative within the Westpac Group. This role will be responsible for program management actions, funding submissions, and supporting delivery teams with TPS/TDS standards. It will also manage stakeholders, monitor reporting for transparency, and ensure risk management plans are up to date.
As a key member of the Program Enablement & PMO team, you'll help drive the successful delivery of the UNITE program by embedding strong governance, structured support, and consistent standards. The team plays a pivotal role in aligning delivery to strategic priorities—enabling faster decisions, early risk identification, and seamless collaboration across business, technology, and delivery streams.
This role will play a crucial part of the UNITE team. UNITE is our business-led, tech-enabled transformation, and a key priority for the Group. Essential Skills:
Candidates must have PMO experience in financial services/Banking, demonstrating the following:
- Program Oversight: Manage programs including funding, schedules, interdependencies, reporting, and strategic oversight with Clarity updates.
- Program Governance: Support teams to meet TPS/TDS standards, embed governance, facilitate Deep Dive sessions, track changes, and maintain key registers.
- Program Reporting: Review reports for accuracy, support project health checks, collate financial data, and maintain decision registers.
- Risk & Issue Management: Maintain risk plans, escalate issues, retest assumptions, and apply change control and document management.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Monitor deliverables and ensure timely, relevant communications.
- Other: Provide ad-hoc delivery support as required by the PMO Lead.
