Part-Time Childcare Cook

Hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (4 hours per day)

Days: Monday to Friday (5 days per week)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Childcare Cook to join our team at Innova Academy Early Learning. As a part-time cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals and snacks that meet the dietary and cultural needs of the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and serve healthy, balanced meals and snacks in accordance with nutritional guidelines
  • Cater to individual dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural preferences
  • Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen and food prep areas
  • Ensure all food storage, handling, and preparation complies with food safety regulations
  • Work with the educational team to incorporate seasonal, sustainable, and educational food experiences
  • Keep accurate records of food preparation, menu planning, and stock control
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of menus and meal services

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a childcare or early learning setting
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and hygiene practices for children
  • Relevant qualifications in food handling, safety, or nutrition
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, supportive team
  • Passion for preparing delicious, child-friendly meals that support healthy development
