**YMCA Outside School Hours Care** (OSHC) provides fun, stimulating and safe care for primary and secondary school children before and after school. At OSHC, children have the opportunity to participate in cooking, sport, music, art, dance and so much more.

We are currently recruiting for an **Assistant Coordinator** to join our team **The YMCA Whites Hill Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service located in Camp Hill. **This is a **permanent part-time **position. Your working hours per week will be 34.5 hours during school term and 38 hours during vacation care time.

**YMCA Whites Hill OSHC** is located at Whites Hill State College and offers a wide range of fun, stimulating and appropriate programs that reflect real world experiences and home settings. This helps encourage a sense of community amongst the children, facilitates leadership skill development and allows your child to practice social skills in a supported and caring environment.

**YMCA Whites Hill OSHC** operate from 6.30am to 9.00am and 3.00pm to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

The OSHC caters for students from Prep to Year 9 providing age appropriate activities for all. Nutritious breakfasts and afternoon teas are served daily to enhance the wellbeing of our children.

**YMCA Whites Hill OSHC** also offers onsite Vacation Care (Holiday Club) to the Whites Hill community. Holiday Club will operate from 6.30am to 6.00pm during all school holidays.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

In this position, you will assist the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators. You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of the Coordinator, Senior Coordinator Area Coordinator, Regional Manager and the OSHC Manager.

**As an OSHC Assistant Coordinator you will assist with**:

- The development of quality programs;
- Manage the day to day running of the programs;
- Support the Coordinator with staff management;
- Ensure compliance with policy;
- Undertake administrative requirements;
- Work collaboratively with families and the school community.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**:

- Completed (or close to completion) of relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services);
- Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare;
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain;
- Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
- NQF knowledge would be advantageous.
