About the role

As a Fire Technician at Fire System Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection equipment across various commercial and industrial sites in the Adelaide metropolitan region. This is a full-time position based in Wingfield, SA.

What you'll be doing

  • Carry out scheduled maintenance and testing of fire protection equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, exit & emergency lighting systems and more
  • Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of fire protection systems to identify and address any deficiencies
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers on the appropriate use and maintenance of fire protection equipment
  • Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and troubleshoot issues with fire protection systems
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all service and maintenance activities
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant Australian Standards and fire safety regulations

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualifications in fire protection or a related technical trade
  • Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing or equivalent qualification
  • Able to establish lead generation, discuss and close sales
  • Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience servicing and maintaining fire protection equipment
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems and equipment
  • Basic electrical knowledge or electrical licence (advantageous for emergency lighting work)
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to work autonomously
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites
  • Ability to pass police background checks for access to commercial and government sites
